And while your typical brunch plans may be sidelined by a never-ending pandemic, it doesn't mean that you have to scrap your favorite meal altogether. In fact, we've come up with an elevated brunch option that screams, "KINKY GREEN!" (But, not too loud. #Hangover).


Our Savory Breakfast Sammy is all you need to ease into official #couchpotato status while soaking up the impact of last night's debauchery. We've paired savory scones (homemade or purchased from your local bakery) with creamy ricotta, infused apricot preserves, arugula salad and a smidge of salty prosciutto for a next-level, Kinky Green experience. Kinky Green Savory Breakfast Sammy



Ingredients:

  • Savory Scones (We made our scones from scratch with fontina and parmesan cheeses but feel free to skip the hassle & purchase from your local bakery.

  • Apricot Preserves

  • Kinky Green JUST PEACHY Tincture

  • Ricotta Cheese

  • Arugula, lightly dressed with red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt & pepper

  • Prosciutto


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Wrap pre-made scone in aluminum foil and allow to heat in the oven for 5-7 minutes. Prep the remaining ingredients while scones are warming.

  2. While scones are warming, combine desired amount of apricot preserves with a few drops of Kinky Green JUST PEACHY Tincture* and set aside.

  3. Remove scones from the oven. Once cooled enough to handle, gently slice, separating the top of the scone from the bottom.

  4. Spread the desired amount of ricotta cheese over the bottom half of the scone.

  5. Drizzle desired amount of infused preserves over the ricotta cheese.

  6. Top ricotta and preserves with dressed arugula, then layer with a thin slice of prosciutto.

  7. If desired, add a little more ricotta and/or infused preserves on the cut side of the scone top and place it atop of the sandwich, or serve open-faced, if you wish.
